Why we built My Draft
It's 9pm. The shutter is half down, the last customer left an hour ago, and you're still at the counter — building one more quotation in Excel. A tap here, a Jaquar code there, copy the GST formula down, hope the price is still the right one. You'll WhatsApp it tonight and follow up “tomorrow.”
We saw that scene in showroom after showroom across India. The product was beautiful — taps, showers, sanitaryware that people save up for. But the quote, the thing that actually closes the sale, was a chore nobody enjoyed and everybody got slightly wrong. That gap is the whole reason My Draft exists.
The quote was the bottleneck
A walk-in customer is interested now. But putting a price in front of them took 30 to 45 minutes — finding the right SKU, looking up the current rate, typing each line, adding 18% GST, making it look presentable. By the time the quote was ready, the customer had often gone home “to think about it,” and the same product was already being quoted by the shop down the road.
And manual quotes go wrong in quiet, expensive ways. A stale rate from last season's price list. A missing GST line. A quote that looks like a plain WhatsApp message next to a competitor's neat PDF. A follow-up that never happened because it lived only in someone's memory. None of these feel like a disaster on the day — but added up across a month, they're lost orders.
So we built the tool we wished existed
The idea behind My Draft was simple: make the single most repeated job in a sanitaryware showroom — building a quote — take 2 minutes instead of 45, and make the result look like it came from the best showroom in the city.
So we loaded a catalogue of 10 lakh+ products across 1,000+ brands — Jaquar, Kohler, Grohe, Cera, Hindware, Essco, Artize — so you can search by SKU, brand or plain words and add an item, with its photo and price, in a tap. We baked in MRP, NRP and SDP for the Jaquar Group, so switching to a sharper rate for a price-sensitive customer is one tap, not a hunt through a PDF. We made GST and HSN codes automatic. And the output is a branded PDF with your logo and a UPI payment QR — so the customer can scan and pay before they leave.
What actually changes
The honest version: My Draft doesn't make you a better salesperson. It just removes the friction between “the customer is interested” and “here's a professional price they can act on.” You quote before they leave. A new showroom looks as established as a 30-year-old one. Nothing gets lost because the follow-ups live in the system, not in your head. That's it — and that's a lot.
